Is it

a good idea to censor oneself for the sake of diplomacy?

This entry has no entertainment value (ha-ha, do any?) it's just late and I've been thinking about that a lot lately with job looking, relationships, my various collisions with self-expression, etc. A lot of times I am thinking "the fuck do I care" with the concurrent reality that I am still hiding so well in my self.

mmmmmm no i take back the censoring notion that was my mom coming out of me sry. i think you have a sense of yourself and it keeps you from being off-putting or disregarded.

self-censoring (or at least noticeable self-censoring) is a lot of times more off-putting than unbridled mouth spew... i think a lot of times people (self-centered as we mostly are) will assume that whatever you decided suddenly you couldn't or shouldn't say must have something to do with them-- that you must have some opinion of them you're too polite to share-- and soon they grow to mistrust and hate you.
